Why Player 2 for League of Legends?
Solo-queue in League is a coin flip on the role you draft and the four strangers you draft with. Player 2's matching algorithm reads your role priority (Top main, Jungle off-role, will-fill ADC), champion pool, rank, and communication preference, then introduces you to people who line up.
Ranked duos can lock in same-side jungle/laner pairings, the kind of practiced 2-stack that carries games. For 5-stacks (Flex, Clash, ARAM nights), the algorithm filters for the rare five who share a composition philosophy, so you're not running engage comp with two scaling carries.
Server coverage: NA, EUW, EUNE, KR, BR, LAN, LAS, OCE, JP, TR, RU, VN, PH, SG, TH, TW. Server is a hard filter, because a roster doesn't help if you can't queue together.
The fine print on queueing together in League
Duo means exactly two — and close in rank
Ranked Solo/Duo admits parties of one or two, and a duo has to sit within a limited rank band of each other. At the Apex tiers (Master and up), the queue goes strictly solo. If one of you outgrows the band, the pairing breaks until the gap closes. Worth knowing before you pick a duo three divisions away.
Flex allows 1, 2, 3, or 5 — never 4
Flex queue is where bigger groups rank, with one deliberate gap: four-stacks are banned, because a lone fifth stranger alongside a coordinated four is the worst seat in the game. Flex MMR is tracked separately from Solo/Duo, so the same player can honestly hold two different ranks.
Clash is the tournament weekend
Clash runs bracketed tournaments on scheduled weekends for pre-built teams of five, complete with a scouting phase and draft preparation ahead of each round. It's the closest the game gets to amateur esports, and it only works with a roster locked in before the bracket opens.
Duo synergy is positional
The classic pairings are jungle + mid (coordinated ganks and river control) and the bot lane duo (a true 2v2 lane that lives or dies on shared trading windows). A duo that practices one of those pairings compounds every game; two solo laners who never touch the same fight barely interact.

Is Player 2 affiliated with Riot Games or League of Legends?
No. Player 2 is an independent service. League of Legends and the LoL logo are trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.
Does this work for Clash?
Yes. Build a 5-person Clash team by filtering for players who share your rank tier and have matching weekend availability. Clash schedule cycles are factored in.
Wild Rift teammates too?
Yes. Wild Rift has its own matching pool, separate from PC LoL, with the same UI and mobile-aware role filters.
Can I match by main champion?
Yes. List your top 3 mains and the algorithm weighs how they fit with your teammates' pools. For example, it won't pair a backline-dependent ADC with a support who only plays engage tanks.
What if I'm autofilled too much?
Toggle 'fill willing' in your profile. The algorithm prefers to pair you with players who don't fill, so you both get your primary role. When you're the secondary, it pairs you with autofill-tolerant players.
