Why Player 2 for Call of Duty: Warzone?
Warzone solo-queue is the experience of dropping with two strangers who immediately push different POIs and die separately. Player 2 fixes that with three filters that actually decide whether a squad lives past circle 3: rotation philosophy (push vs hold), drop-spot vibe (hot-drop vs edge POI), and KD bracket (so a 2.0 KD doesn't get stuck carrying 0.7s).
For ranked Resurgence, the algorithm respects the SBMM-tier expectations — your matches default to the same skill bracket so you can climb without getting smurfed on or carrying. For BR, looser filters; comm and rotation matter more than KD when the lobby's RNG is doing the work.
DMZ (R.I.P.) is sunset; the matching now covers Warzone Battle Royale, Resurgence, Plunder, and Ranked Resurgence. Cross-platform PC + console + cloud all supported.

- No. Player 2 is an independent service. Call of Duty and Warzone are trademarks of Activision Publishing, Inc.
- BR or Resurgence?
- Both, plus Ranked Resurgence and Plunder. Mode preference is a filter — your matches default to people who main the same mode.
- How does it handle the SBMM bracket?
- KD-bracket matching keeps your lobby-difficulty expectation aligned. A 1.6 KD shouldn't be queued with a 0.5 KD because the SBMM lobby will be brutal for them.
- What about the controller-vs-MnK debate?
- Input device is in the profile. Match for input-aligned squads if you want consistent aim assist expectations across the trio.
- MW3 multiplayer / Modern Warfare too?
- Player 2's CoD focus is currently Warzone. MP-only matching for the latest MW title is on the roadmap.
