AION 2 Party and Legion Guide: Global Version
How to find a party and a legion in AION 2's global version: group sizes, server and faction rules, choosing a legion, and what to agree on.

TLDR
As of November 5, 2026, finding a party and a legion in AION 2's global version starts with three choices you make before you play: region, faction, and server. NC says each server holds only one faction, so friends who want to group in the open world and share a legion need the same server. NC describes solo dungeons, five-player dungeons, and 10-player raids. The NC notices and Steam page checked for this guide do not describe a party finder or a legion recruitment board, but players on r/Aion2 describe titled dungeon groups in the game that others can ask to join. Check the party and legion menus first, then use friends and Discord. AION 2 ranked third on GameGrin's Steam top-seller list for October 27 to November 3, and Steam lists its release as October 5, 2026.
Global and Korean versions are separate
NC launched the global version on Steam and its PURPLE platform with servers in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia (Japan). One fan wiki, Fextralife, says Korean and Taiwanese accounts and progress cannot be moved to the global service. Guides built on Korean-version data, such as legion size limits or raid timing, may not apply here. This guide uses NC's global pages where it can and names the fan wiki where it cannot. NC's pages checked do not state a legion member cap, so none is given.
Group sizes by content
- Solo. Per Fextralife, Nightmare, the Daily Dungeon, the Ascension Trial, and open-world Sealed Dungeons are solo.
- Up to five players. NC's launch release names five-player dungeons. Fextralife lists Expeditions at up to five, with Exploration unlocking at levels 20 to 45, Conquest at level 45 with item level gates, and Transcendence recommending two to five.
- 10 players. Steam lists 10-player group dungeons. NC's November 3 patch notes add the raid Abyssal Forge: Ludra with Normal at item level 2,800, Hard at 3,000, and a one-hour limit per run. Fextralife, in a page last updated October 9, says it needs exactly 10 players in two party slots at level 45.
- PvP. NC's launch release lists 1v1 and 4v4 arenas plus large cross-server realm battles. Fextralife's FAQ lists 1v1 and 5v5 arenas, which conflicts with NC on arena size, so check in game. The FAQ also says PvP unlocks at level 45.
NC's notice says Ludra would return on November 4 with new mechanics, and its November 3 patch notes mention an EU group that cleared it during Advanced Access. Fextralife's pages, last updated October 9, predate that return, so their raid details may be stale. NC's October 28 patch notes also added Hard mode to two Expeditions at item level 2,700 and lowered boss damage.
How to find a party
NC's notices checked for this guide do not describe a dungeon queue or party finder, and they do not describe a recruitment board for parties. Players on r/Aion2 do describe in-game group listings: a leader titles a dungeon group and others ask to join, and another thread advises making your own group and stating its purpose. That is player testimony, not an NC statement, so check the party and legion menus in game after login. Other routes:
- Friends and legion members. Invite people you already know. Fextralife says Conquest and Transcendence share a weekly cube count of 10 per server, so reliable partners save weekly runs.
- NC's official Discord. The Steam page links it. One commenter in a Reddit thread says it has a recruitment channel. That is unconfirmed.
- In-game chat. Post your server, faction, level, class, and play times. NC's known issues notice says chat may be intermittently unavailable in the EU region.
How legions work
Legion is AION 2's guild term. NC's transfer notice says a character must leave its legion before a server transfer. Because servers hold one faction, a legion presumably holds one faction too. That is an inference, not an NC statement. Check the legion menu in game for current limits and steps.
To choose one:
- Match server, faction, and time zone before anything else.
- Ask whether the group aims at PvE raids, PvP, or both.
- Ask who leads and who takes over if the leader leaves.
- Ask about voice chat and loot rules.
- Try a few runs before committing.
- Treat a legion that sells paid carries with caution.
One Reddit user posted a spreadsheet directory of North America and Europe legions about three months before this guide. The first tab lists Europe Early Access legions by language, playstyle, and server. It is community-run and may be out of date, so confirm details with the legion.
Server and region choice
NC's server notice says you pick region, then faction, then a server. It lists NA East, NA West, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Elyos and Asmodian servers are paired for the Abyss and Spacetime Rifts, and NC says pairings change periodically. Some names, such as Kaisinel, appear in several regions, so a server name alone is not enough: say region, faction, and name.
Transfers are narrow. NC's notice allows them only within the same faction and region, for level 45 characters, and Early Access servers can move only to other Early Access servers. NC's October 28 notes remove the transfer tab at the end of the transfer period. NC said the product may return, but no date is published. Pick the right server first.
What to agree before you start
- Region, faction, and exact server. Write all three down.
- Chat language. Steam lists interface text in eight languages.
- Schedule. NC's recent patch notes are dated Tuesday Pacific time and Wednesday in Europe, and the Steam page gives 11:30 PM PT for one coming maintenance. Fextralife says weekly limits refill on Wednesday.
- Gear minimums. Agree on the item level you need for each dungeon.
- Loot rules. Agree on them before the first pull.
- Leadership. Pick a caller for 10-player runs.
The good teammate checklist covers the habits behind most of this, and the complete LFG guide has post templates. The WoW Forever guild guide covers the same guild-picking questions for another MMO. A teammate-matching app such as Player 2 can pair you with players who own the game and play when you do.
What may change
AION 2 is under weekly patches and NC updates its notices, so recheck the official notices before you recruit. Fan wiki figures can lag behind NC's changes.
